Company Also Appoints David Burke to Head Asset Management
For Pembroke’s European Real Estate Portfolio
LONDON, September 10, 2008 -- Pembroke Real Estate, the real estate investment and development advisor for Fidelity Investments (FMR LLC) and FIL Limited, today announced the appointment of Simon Fisk as senior vice president and chief financial officer. The firm also announced it hired David Burke as vice president and head of European asset management.
Pembroke Real Estate currently manages more than 5.4 million square feet (500,000 square meters) of commercial and residential space worldwide, including more than 2.6 million square feet (242,000 square meters) in Europe.
With more than 20 years of global real estate and financial investment experience, Fisk will lead Pembroke’s finance functions, investment underwriting and research. He will play a significant role in the firm’s acquisition strategy as well as oversee all financial aspects of Pembroke’s portfolio and asset management. Fisk reports to Stephen Bell, president of Pembroke Real Estate.

Before joining Pembroke, Fisk was managing director for German-based Hypo Real Estate International Bank AG and was a key member of the senior management of the bank’s Europe, Middle East and India platform providing guidance and input into new business strategy and transaction assessment. Whilst at the bank, he fulfilled a number of roles including heading the underwriting function and overseeing business origination in Russia, Scandinavia and France.
Prior to Hypo Real Estate, Fisk was a managing director for Tishman Speyer Properties (TSP) in Europe and previously held senior positions in investment banking where he gained experience in both corporate finance and capital markets.
Burke Joins Pembroke as Vice President for European Asset Management
In his new role, Burke will be responsible for the strategic asset management of all of Pembroke’s properties throughout Europe and Japan. His duties will include overseeing the design, execution and implementation of business plans for each investment, budget control, asset valuations and regular performance review of the portfolio. In addition, Burke will work with third-party service providers, oversee the landlord/tenant relationships for existing assets and work with Pembroke’s acquisition teams in identifying and underwriting new investment opportunities. Based in London, he will report to Johannes Haug, Pembroke’s European managing director.

With more than 20 years of real estate asset management experience, Burke has been involved in identifying and creating value for a large variety of different asset classes in various investment portfolios, covering all sectors of the U.K. and Continental Europe. Most recently, he held the position of director at Stoneleigh Capital. Previously, he worked as managing director at Maybrook Properties, vice president at Fortress Investment Group and as property director at London & Regional Properties.
